As a small business we rely heavily on our small fleet of work vans. No. Every tracker arrives with a multi-network 4G SIM fitted and paid for. Data is included in your plan for as long as you keep it.
Both trackers are held in stock in Nottingham. Order by 2 pm on a working day and it is posted the same day, usually with you the next working day. The plan does not start until the tracker is with you.
It depends on the tracker and how much your asset moves, which is why we guarantee it rather than guess. On the recommended Standard profile the Oyster3 carries a 2-year battery guarantee, and the Barra carries it on Eco. If the batteries run out inside the guarantee period, we send replacements free. They are lithium AA batteries you can buy off the shelf and change yourself in a minute. Ordinary alkaline batteries will not last, so use lithium.
The trackers use LTE-M and NB-IoT, the long-range 4G networks built for devices like this, on a SIM that roams across the UK operators, so the mobile side reaches well beyond phone signal. GPS needs some view of the sky: under a trailer bed or behind a plastic bumper is fine, fully enclosed in steel is not. If you have a known dead spot, tell us and we will check before you buy.
Yes, on the same SIM with no roaming charges. The trackers use LTE-M and NB-IoT, and the SIM roams onto those networks across most of Europe: Ireland, Jersey, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia and Spain, plus the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Italy, Portugal, Greece and Croatia are covered on NB-IoT only, which usually works but ask us first. Not covered: the Isle of Man, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Andorra and Cyprus. Data abroad comes out of the same allowance, so nothing extra to pay.
No, and nothing renews without you. Every plan is paid once, for 1, 2 or 3 years. Before it ends we email you an invoice for the next period; pay it to carry on, or let it lapse and tracking simply stops. The tracker is yours either way.
You get a movement alert within minutes in any profile. Open the app and select Recovery Mode on that tracker. It then reports every 30 seconds, near enough live, for up to 24 hours at a time, and you can switch it on again, so you or the police can follow it. Share a live link from the app and the police can watch it move without needing your login. Recovery Mode is something you select; it does not switch on by itself, so keep notifications turned on.
Anywhere with plastic, wood or open air above it and steel around the sides is fine: inside the A-frame cover, under the bed on a chassis rail, behind a light cluster or under a plastic mudguard. Screw it, rivet it or cable-tie it; the Barra comes with an external magnet that raises an alert if the tracker is pulled off. Keep it out of sight rather than out of reach, and do not bury it under a steel deck plate, because GPS needs some view of the sky. If you are not sure, call us and we will talk you through it.

The sticker price is not the whole price. The cheap 4G units still need a plan at £5 to £10 a month, so the yearly cost is about the same as ours; the difference is a unit that reports every 30 minutes on a battery you recharge, with no one to call, or one that reports every 3 minutes on batteries we guarantee for 2 years, with Recovery Mode and a UK phone number. The £15 ones with no SIM are Bluetooth tags, not GPS trackers. Over three years ours usually works out cheaper than replacing a cheap one twice.
